Graham House is a busy freelance horn player and pianist. In addition to serving in the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra, he also is a collaborative pianist and coach, primarily with students and faculty at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Graham has previously been a member of the Wichita Symphony, South Dakota Symphony, Nebraska Chamber Players, and Opera Kansas. Currently, he also frequently performs with the Wichita Symphony, Lincoln Symphony, and Mannheim Steamroller. Graham received his Bachelor of Music degree from The Wichita State University, and his Master’s and Doctorate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Graham has performed as soloist at the O.K. Mozart Festival, Meadowlark Musical Festival, with the Hastings Symphony Orchestra, the Lincoln Municipal Band, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Symphony Orchestra. He has performed a wide range of musical styles, in myriad venues, and with various musical artists, including pianist Leon Fleisher, cellist Lynn Harrell, soprano Renee Fleming, bass-baritone Samuel Ramey, Rod Stewart, Clark Terry, Amy Grant, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and the American Wind Symphony Orchestra national tour. Dr. House’s academic appointments have included Doane College, Midland Lutheran College, Concordia University, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In his spare time, Graham enjoys cooking, martial arts, reading, biking, and hiking in America’s National Parks with his partner Kristi. He is also an avid trivia enthusiast and appeared as a contestant on the popular television game show Jeopardy.
