John Casey has been the Associate Principal Bass of the Sioux City Symphony since 2010. He is also a member of the South Dakota Symphony and Principal Bass of the Northwest Iowa Symphony. In addition to playing bass in multiple groups, John is also adjunct faculty at Augustana University (Sioux Falls), Dordt University (Sioux Center), and Northwestern College (Orange City) as well as hosting private teaching studios in Sioux Falls and Northwest Iowa. He has a BS in Music Education from the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis) and an MM in Double Bass Performance from Northwestern University (Evanston IL).
