Julia Bae began her violin studies at the age of 8 in South Korea, where she earned a master's degree under the mentorship of Professor Kwang-Kun Kim. She later pursued further musical education in the United States, graduating from the Boston Conservatory with a second master’s degree. Currently, she is pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Minnesota. Ms. Bae became a section violinist in the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra after a successful audition in 2023 and has been performing with them since. In 2024, she also won the audition for the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra. Alongside her orchestral commitments, Julia Bae is deeply passionate about teaching. She had taught students of various ages in public elementary and middle schools, as well as at violin institutes in Korea. Currently, she teaches at the Kramer School of Music in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
