Korynne Bolt

CELLO

Korynne Bolt began playing the cello at age five and never looked back. She holds a Master's degree in Cello Performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor of Music from Boston University. Besides holding the position of Associate Principal Cello in SCSO, Korynne also performs in the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra, and Omaha Symphony Orchestra. Korynne is the founder and director of Star City Strings, a private studio with multiple teachers offering lessons on violin, viola, cello, piano, and voice. Apart from her orchestra and studio commitments, Korynne occasionally freelances and has shared the stage with Ben Folds, 2Cellos, The Eagles, Michael Bublé, Amy Grant, and others. When not performing or teaching, Korynne enjoys yoga, pollinator gardening, camping, and traveling with her husband, Seth.
