Retired Principal Trumpet of the South Dakota Symphony for 24 years, Scott Olson is currently Principal trumpet of the Northwest Iowa Symphony and adjunct instructor of trumpet at Augustana University. He is a frequent performer with the Jazzed Up Big Band of Okoboji and plays Trumpet and Keyboard with Prairie Groove Jazz Quartet. Scott and his wife, Kim, live on the family farm near Mission Hill where they raise corn, soybeans, alfalfa hay, and the most delicious sweet corn on the planet.
